Fall Flowers

While we don't have cooler temperatures or the colors of the changing leaves to celebrate quite yet, that doesn't mean we can't get in the Fall spirit! Over the weekend we threw all of our dying vegetable and herb plants left over from the summer into the compost to do a bit of cleanup on the porch. We stopped by Lowe's and picked up these mums to give our back porch a bit of Fall color. I love the way the arrangements have transformed our small outdoor space.

Home, Sweet Home

I have to admit that sometimes I get anxious to finish up a roll of film. Instead of waiting for the perfect shot I'll try to take a few throw away photos just to be able to start fresh with a new roll. Sometimes I feel like I'm approaching my film photography all wrong. Who says each roll has to be specific to an event or location? Half the surprise of having film developed is seeing what actually comes out and experiencing the memories of moments you've already forgotten!

Scenes from Downtown Asheville, NC

It’s been over a year since my last trip to Asheville. We originally planned to go to an apple orchard but decided against it since the weather was still threatening rain. After grabbing a bit of lunch we decided to just walk around downtown for a bit. Since our trip was so short we mostly looked around outside but we did make time to stop in the Grove Arcade and the Mast General Store. Downtown Asheville was so busy yesterday!
