Last night we went to the Fall Greek Festival at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church downtown. It started to rain just as we hopped off our bikes. We stood in line for food and then sat at a table under a big tree so we could stay dry, away from the crowds, and still see the stage. We shared Greek potatoes and ate gyros. Both were delicious and worth sitting through the rain! They had a great band playing and some brave dancers who entertained us despite it being so wet. We didn’t stay as long as I would have liked but we were there long enough to see a little bit of the entertainment. I had never been to the church before and it was beautiful on the outside! What you’d expect from an Orthodox Church. Unfortunately, many of the vendors were packing up their goods before we got a chance to peek at them. The good news is that it’s much sunnier today and the festival is all weekend. Check it out! http://charlestongreekfestival.com/fall/
