Another week flew by! Monday I had the day off for Memorial Day. We got up early and saw a matinee screening of Tomorrowland. We even got a pin like in the movie! I can’t wait to add it to our Disney pin collection. We are really hoping to take a trip in late winter next year! We had Alex’s family over for dinner. I cooked pork loin, my favorite potato salad, and green beans. Afterwards we sat out by the pool.

Tuesday I went to Mi Rancho with a group of ladies who are loosely involved with History in Aiken. It was nice to make that connection! Wednesday Sara took me to Barberitos as a late birthday treat. I hadn’t seen her in nearly a year so it was so great to catch up! Thursday Alex and I went to Pizza Joint with our friends Ben and Janelle and their new baby Miss Harper. We had such a good time. We stayed for almost two hours and it flew by! We are definitely looking for a good group of married couples to hang out with here. I wish they lived closer! I came home and worked on some picture mats for a going away gift and a wedding present for our friends who are getting married tomorrow. It was my first time painting acrylics in years and it was a lot of fun! I tried something more funky than my usual style but I’m happy with it.

Tonight was Hops and Hogs in Aiken. I was honestly just feeling really tired. It was loud and the lines got really long. After a couple of beers we left and split a dinner plate at Acropolis restaurant. Now it’s time to snuggle with our sweet girls!
