Just around the corner from my husband’s family cottage on Fitch Bay in Quebec lies the loveliest lavender farm called Bleu Lavande. We went for one of their family fun days the weekend we arrived to the Eastern Townships and took a self-guided tour around the lavender fields. We bought a sugar-rimmed lavender lemonade to quench our thirst and wandered through the gift shop. They had everything from essential oils and lotion to lavender chocolate and coffee! It was neat to see their interpretive displays and some of the tractors and other equipment used to harvest and process the lavender into Bleu Lavande products. The farm is a Bee City Canada partner and we saw quite a few pollinators buzzing amongst the sea of purple flowers. Several people were getting massages in a little secret garden area and others had packed a picnic for lunch in the fields. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend stopping by on a day with nice weather. Our short visit made for a relaxing morning outdoors.
