This past weekend the fruit of this summer's labor came to fruition with the presentation of Walk with the Spirits in Summerville Cemetery. I spent weeks of my summer researching the history of the notable Augustans we selected to piece together their genealogy and try to make a connection between their stories and the now historic places that they lived. (The research was just the half of it...) Our actors met for about six weeks to rehearse their scripts, practice with microphones, and get a feel for their costumes. Over two days we gave 20 45-minute tours to over 500 people. I took a little break Saturday night to enjoy the Greek Festival with my husband and in-laws and following Sunday's party, Alex and I were able to enjoy some live music at Southbound Smokehouse. I'm currently on the tail end of a 14 day work week but the success of this event that I worked so hard to put together makes the exhaustion worth the effort! I hope you enjoy these photos I snapped during the event!
