We took a quick trip to Charleston to visit our friends last weekend since it was the last weekend we’d both be off until we leave for Chicago to celebrate Christmas. We weren’t able to do very much while we were there, but I did manage to try two new places– Closed for Business for drinks (where we met up with the Hydes) and Lee Lee’s Hot Kitchen. I suppose we had never technically been to the Mt. Pleasant location of Collective Coffee Co. either. After returning from our trip I immediately began to regret two decisions 1. Leaving in the first place and 2. Teasing myself with a trip there. It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a year since we made the decision to leave to be closer to our families (with all their problems) and 7 months since I moved back to Augusta and started my job. So much has changed in just a short amount of time and it’s been a real struggle at times. Regardless of nostalgia running through my head and decisions made in hindsight, I was happy that the two of us got to steal away for the weekend.
