Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away?! We'll be hosting dinner for my mom and sister when they return from Alabama which means I need to get busy cleaning our dining room table off and hitting up the grocery store before they run out of must-have items. I've been planning out our meal in my head for a while but decided last week that it was time to put it on paper. I keep the nursery at church sometimes and we didn't have any kids this past week so I had some free time to write out my shopping list (hence the yellow construction paper and green marker). It's no secret that I use Pinterest to do a lot of our meal planning. I wanted to create a Thanksgiving menu that felt warm and nostalgic of years past but with a modern, elevated twist. It's the best of both worlds. I'm making dishes that remind me of my childhood but make me feel like an adult. Here's a list of recipes that will keep me busy in the kitchen next week:
- Rosemary Sea Salt Dutch Oven Bread
- Roasted Green Beans with Beets, Feta, and Walnuts
- Wild Rice Stuffing with Apples and Sausage
- Sage-Crusted Pork Loin with Wine Gravy
- Butternut Squash Macaroni and Cheese with Brussels Sprouts
- Chocolate Pie
What's on your shopping list?
