Today's To-Do List:

  • Finish Tuesday Tunes Playlist
  • Bring Camera to Work
  • Let Aengus out at Lunchtime
  • Prep for Hard Hat Tour
  • Hard Hat Tour + Dinner Downtown
  • Post Blogs

Today's to-do list isn't actually that bad but what would you do if you could take back on work day a week? There are so many times when I waste time wishing that I could just have one day off during the week to catch up on chores when I should be planning out my time better! I recently switched from making traditional to-do lists to actively scheduling my time on my Google Calendar. Instead of having a huge list of things to do, I block out time to do those things. It keeps me more realistic about what I will be able to accomplish in one day. Usually I block out time for cooking, blogging, and watching our favorite shows (on Netflix). The truth is that I have a lot more free time than even I believe sometimes! It's all about making the most of it.

If I could take back two hours of my typical day, I'd take a long walk before work and end the day with an in-progress painting. If I could take back a whole work day each week I'd make more time to take day trips to nearby cities! We're always up for an adventure. Traveling is my absolute favorite way to spend free time. I get to see new things (which usually includes looking at art and architecture), eat delicious food, and then photograph it and write about it. Travel brings together all of my interests and just makes sense!
