Spring 2017 Spotify Playlist
Yesterday was the first day of Spring which means the days are longer! It's been a struggle to get up when it's dark outside (especially since I'm waking up an hour earlier with my new job) but I'm loving that it stay light long enough to let the dogs out and head down to the river for a walk after work. I've created a new Spotify playlist with new to me songs for Spring! I'll be adding to this playlist from time to time so be sure to check back or follow me on Spotify! Is there anything I should be listening to that you'd add to this playlist?
I couldn’t decide if I actually wanted to post this round-up of my favorite songs of 2017 or if the time had passed and it was just too late. I decided to go ahead since I’ve put so much thought into curating this playlist of my favorite songs from the past year and keep delaying hitting the publish button. So here’s my first post of 2018.
I’ll be the first to admit that the 70° weather has me feeling a bit more like the Grinch than one of Santa’s little helpers but putting on a bit of festive music in the evenings has been improving my mood tremendously! This year I have felt like each holiday has crept up on me without really being able to enjoy the preparation and anticipation so I’m determined to make the Christmas season different!
We're getting ready to go on vacation in a couple of weeks time so I wanted to curate a playlist that would be easy to listen to on the plane or while we have downtime in the late evenings. I've been listening to a lot of modern jazz music lately so it's interspersed throughout this playlist to break things up a bit.
I'm excited to share my October Spotify playlist with you all today! The temperatures are finally starting to cool down (at least in the mornings and evenings). While I start to switch up my wardrobe for Fall, I also switch up my music. Fall is a time for all things cozy and warm so I wanted to make a playlist that mimicked the way the season feels. This playlist is full of songs that are atmospheric and cinematic, romantic and soulful, piano-driven and a bit more downtempo than my Summer playlists. It's also heavily inspired by the film Baby Driver.
Summer is winding down and we've been experiencing milder temperatures as Fall makes its way to the South. Gone are the 100°+ days and fingers crossed that the wind and mid-80s temps become the new normal. I can hardly believe it's September already. In fact, I'm pretty sure I originally named this playlist "August 2017" on Spotify. Time has really slipped away from me lately.
