This is the day where I’m supposed to write about all the wonderful things that happened in 2015 and all the dreams I have for 2016 but I won’t. To be honest, all I have to say to 2015 is good riddance. For me and many of my friends 2015 was a year of turbulence. There were so many things that Alex and I struggled with between our relationship together and our relationship with our families that we still haven’t shared openly with everyone. Though the same demons will follow us into the new year, my hope for us is that we are more patient, better prepared, and more open to life’s obstacles. There’s only so much change a person can take without becoming completely broken. Now is the time to pick up the pieces and create the life we crave. We welcome this New Year with open arms and without the restraint of resolutions we’re bound to break.
