I almost feel guilty if we have a weekend off together and don't make a trip out of town. We toyed around with the idea of heading up to the mountains this past weekend with the dogs but we don't have quite enough camping gear for a successful trip for the four of us. Maybe with a bit more planning, we can make it a reality soon!

Instead of going to North Carolina, we decided to make the most of a weekend in our hometown by checking some things off of our fall bucket list! It turns out all we needed was a hike in the woods to find some fall color.

Saturday morning started out with a hike down to the Savannah River Bluffs with the pups. It was a cool, slow start to the morning. Just us, the dogs, the deer, and nature. There's nothing like a walk to warm and wake you up for the day! I honestly wish every morning could be a bit more leisurely so I could squeeze in my outdoor time before rushing to work.
