We decided to prepare for Hurricane Irma by taking advantage of the eerily calm and cool weather and taking a quick walk around downtown North Augusta. Nothing says treat yourself quite like a scoop of frozen ice cream set inside a hot, fresh waffle cone. Luckily for us, there's a place right up the road from us where you can get just that! The Pink Dipper truly transports you back in time (for me that means high school date nights). The old-fashioned ice cream parlor dates back to the early 1970s but was purchased recently by a couple who seems to be breathing new life into the old space. There were a few less Hello Kitty toys when we visited but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle arcade game remained. If you're local, be sure to stop by and support this gem.
