We’re just days away from meeting Baby Bee so I thought it would be nice to document the things I’ve picked out to bring in our diaper bag for the hospital. Our Women’s Center here is great about providing everything you could possibly need but I wanted to have a few cute things to spoil the baby with once he or she arrives! I spent a lot of time reading tips on Pinterest and watching videos on YouTube to prepare our bags for the hospital stay. I’ve tried to be as minimal as possible. I think the only things I may have gone overboard on are the blankets and swaddles but they’re also most likely to get dirty during our time in the maternity suite. I have two muslin swaddles and a sweet blanket and burp cloth set that my mom made! I’ve also packed a nursing scarf/car seat cover in case I feel a little self conscious about breastfeeding at first. We only live 10 minutes from the hospital where I’ll be delivering but I went ahead and packed a few diapers and wipes along with diaper cream and a first aid kit so we’ll be ready for our 1st outing in the future. We’re not sure if we are having a boy or a girl so I packed a Newborn and 0-3 month gender neutral outfit to bring the baby home in! I’ve also included a few newborn hats (including one with a bow... just in case) so we can switch out the baby’s caps from the one the hospital provides  . Inside are a couple of pairs of socks and a set of mittens. I don’t really plan to use a pacifier while we’re learning feeding cues, but again, it’s something I have ready to go for the future. I never took a pacifier and my husband was more of a thumb sucker so we’ll learn what our little one prefers soon. I couldn’t resist packing the Burt’s Bees lovie! So that’s it! A pretty basic diaper bag packed to bring baby home. What did you include in your bag? Anything I might have missed?
