Green(e) Scene

Sometimes collaborative partnerships come from unexpected places. In the case of the Downtown Walking Tour with the U.S. Green Building Council, it stemmed from my friendship with a local architect at church. My co-worker led our third walking tour of Augusta last night down Greene Street. We had a group of about 25 with a few babies in strollers and our puppy, Aengus. The 700 and 800 blocks of Greene are home to an interesting juxtaposition of old and new buildings, voids caused by parking lots, and endangered properties that have the potential to be rehabilitation projects. These are just a few images of buildings we looked at on last night's tour.
