Weekend Link Roundup - January 20, 2017
How is January over half-way through? Time moves so quickly and I never feel like I'm accomplishing enough.
With that being said, I finally paid off my car! That means more money to pay off other bills (...OR buy tickets to see Radiohead in Atlanta).
Starting the weekend with a bang! Tomorrow I'm headed to the post office to renew my passport with my married name.
The U.S. had its hottest year on record and if that doesn't scare the crap out of you then I don't know what does. It doesn't help that the incoming administration doesn't believe in climate change.
I found this article about some great travel apps and I'm really loving Sygic Travel. It's similar to the new Google Travel App. You can create a daily travel agenda based on sites you want to see during your visit to a city! I'm definitely going to use this when planning our upcoming vacations. I've already started checking out some spots in Ottawa.
I've been thinking a lot about how we can live a more minimalist lifestyle. We're taking baby steps to use less and want less. Tomorrow I'm dropping off a closet full of lightly worn clothing to the Salvation Army.
Today we say goodbye to President Barack Obama. It's been a pleasure and privilege to become an adult under his leadership. Take a look back at his first trip to the College of Charleston, my alma mater.
The Rising Tide Society has some great tips on maintaining your blog this week. I have a lot to improve upon, but thank you for reading anyways!
I've mentioned in a few other posts that we're eating a more plant-based diet for our health. In all honesty, it's been a struggle to keep on track this week but I'm looking forward to snuggling up in front of the television with a big bowl of butternut squash curry tonight!
These stunning couples travel photos are goals! Alex and I really need to step up our selfie game on our next trip. Anyone want to be our personal paparazzi on vacation? Kidding!
