Congratulations to my little sister and the NAHS Class of 2016 on their graduation. Corey and her peers graduated six years to the date from the same place as my husband.
Thankfully we held back the tears, but after lots of cheers and a few quick photos, we headed over to Manuel's Bread Cafe in Hammond's Ferry to celebrate with an early lunch and cake! Corey and I both tried the gyros with a twist... Pepper jelly!
My mom gifted Corey with a new set of London Fog luggage which will be perfect for jet setting off to NYC on Monday. We indulged with Manuel's famous chocolate chip cheesecake before heading off to change into cooler clothes. Summer always shows up so suddenly!
Alex and I got Corey a new Herschel Supply Co. backpack that will be perfect for carrying around her fancy new MacBook Pro on the CofC campus.
The best part of the day? CofC released room assignments!
I'm so proud of my sister and the hard work she put into graduating with highest honors from high school. I'm even more proud to watch her chase her dreams in Charleston this fall. I'm excited for more visits to my favorite place, the place we were lucky to call home, if only for a little while.
